Review and Prospect for Vegetable Grafting Robot and Relevant Key Technologies

Grafting is an effective way to overcome the obstacles of continuous soil cropping and improve tolerance plants abiotic biotic stresses. An automatic grafting robot can effectively efficiency survival rate grafted seedlings, which important demand for commercialization promotion vegetable planting. Based on six main technologies, this paper deeply summarized analyzed research status, technical characteristics, development trends robots developed by various countries in world. At same time, it focused design methods characteristics key components such as seedling picking device, clamping cutting device detail. Then, application machine vision was compared from aspects seed information feature recognition, classification, state detection, auxiliary grafting. It also pointed out that technology only realize fully automated robots. Finally, several constraints, limited speed were out, future direction predicted. As a result, believed intelligence degree needs be improved, its fail integrate with biotechnology, leads poor universality.
